Biorub-I is a topical antiseptic combination indicated for:

Each unit of the topical solution contains Isopropyl Alcohol + Hydrogen Peroxide + Glycerol as the combined active antiseptic and emollient ingredients:

• Do not inject, ingest, or apply to the eyes, inside the nose or mouth, or other mucous membranes.

Formal drug-drug interaction studies are not applicable to Biorub-I as it is a topical, external-use antiseptic with minimal systemic absorption when used as directed. However:

• Avoid simultaneous application with other topical antiseptics or oxidizing/irritant skin products (e.g., other alcohol-, iodine-, or peroxide-based preparations) on the same area, as this may cause additive skin irritation or chemical reactions.

However, as a general precaution, pregnant and breastfeeding women should use Biorub-I only if clearly needed, on limited areas of skin, and should consult a physician or pharmacist before extensive or repeated use, particularly over large areas of broken skin.

The following precautions apply to the use of Biorub-I:

• For external use only. Do not swallow; avoid contact with eyes, ears, mouth, and other mucous membranes. If accidental contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water.
• Flammable: the isopropyl alcohol component is flammable. Keep away from open flame, sparks, heat, and lit cigarettes until the treated area is completely dry.

• Diabetic patients: Extra caution is advised when using Biorub-I on the extremities (e.g., feet) of patients with diabetes, given their increased risk of impaired wound healing; consult a physician for wound care in this population.

Biorub-I should be used only for as long as needed to clean a minor wound or disinfect the skin, typically for a few days until the wound has closed or the skin surface is adequately clean.
