What is the dosage of Happymix-5 1 gm/sachet?
This is most suited to children from the age of 6-23 months. As recommended by WHO, this preparation is very effective in addressing iron and micronutrient deficiency anemia among under five children. The dose is- Feed this to children by mixing with semi-solid or soft food (rice, hotchpotch, suji etc). What are the side effects of Happymix-5 1 gm/sachet?
Apparently this has no side effect but due to the presence of iron in this preparation, stool of a child could be hard or soft and it’s color may also be blackish and after few days it would become normal.
Who should not take Happymix-5 1 gm/sachet?
This is prohibited for children affected thalassemia, sickle cell anemia, and HIV/AIDS.
What precautions should be taken with Happymix-5 1 gm/sachet?
This is not applicable for children who are hospitalized or affected by acute malnutrition. In case of recovery and if the child begins to take food normally and then this could be fed again. This preparation should not be mixed with too hot, liquid or hard food. Do not feed This preparation to your child while it (sachet) is torn, abandoned or it’s shelf life expired.
