Scrub & Exfoliator

Exfoliators are weekly rather than daily products. This section covers physical scrubs with grains such as walnut or charcoal, peeling and gommage gels that roll off the skin, and acid-based exfoliants using ingredients such as glycolic acid.

Physical or acid

Physical scrubs work on contact and their grain size varies considerably between listings. Peeling gels are milder. Acid exfoliants are left on for a set time and do not involve rubbing. Check which type a listing is, since the three are used quite differently.
