Vaginal Suppository
Metronidazole, a nitroimidazole, is active against various anerobic bacteria and protozoa.
Nystatin is a polyene antibiotic with antifungal activity.
Neomycin is an aminoglycoside.
It is bactericidal and active against some gram-positive and gram-negative organisms.
Polymyxin is active against gram-negative organisms including Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
What is Gyned used for?
This combination is indicated in vaginal trichomoniasis, vaginal leucorrhoeas, mixed vaginal infections (Fungal or Bacterial).
What is the dosage of Gyned ?
One suppository to be inserted into vagina at bedtime for 12 days, or as directed by the physician.
What are the side effects of Gyned ?
Skin rash and urticaria may occur rarely.
Who should not take Gyned ?
Contraindicated to the patients who are hypersensitive to Metronidazole, Neomycin Sulphate, Polymyxin B Sulphate and Nystatin.
What precautions should be taken with Gyned ?
Caution should be taken in case of renal impaired patients.
Is Gyned safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding?
