Aluminium Hydroxide + Magnesium Hydroxide is an antacid used for the relief of heartburn, acid indigestion, sour stomach, and upset stomach caused by excess stomach acid. This is symptomatic relief only; Aluminium Hydroxide + Magnesium Hydroxide does not treat the underlying cause of these symptoms.
Aluminium Hydroxide + Magnesium Hydroxide is also commonly used, generally on a doctor's advice, to help relieve the discomfort of hyperacidity, gastritis, dyspepsia, and as a symptomatic adjunct alongside other treatment for peptic ulcer disease. The general dosing patterns below reflect common labeled and prescribed use; always follow the directions given by a doctor, pharmacist, or the product packaging.
