About Sodium Alginate + Sodium Bicarbonate + Calcium Carbonate

Indications of Sodium Alginate + Sodium Bicarbonate + Calcium Carbonate

Sodium Alginate + Sodium Bicarbonate + Calcium Carbonate is indicated for the relief of symptoms associated with gastro-oesophageal reflux, such as heartburn and acid regurgitation, and for reflux-related indigestion (dyspepsia).

  • Established/OTC-approved use: Symptomatic relief of heartburn, acid indigestion, and gastro-oesophageal reflux, including reflux occurring after meals or on bending/lying down.
  • Guideline-supported adjunct use: As an add-on to proton pump inhibitor (PPI) or H2-receptor antagonist therapy in patients with persistent reflux symptoms, particularly post-prandial or nocturnal breakthrough symptoms.
  • Special population use: Heartburn and acid reflux occurring during pregnancy, where alginate-antacid combinations are commonly recommended as a first-line, non-systemic option.
  • Symptom-specific use: Epigastric or retrosternal discomfort and flatulence associated with acid reflux.

This product provides symptomatic relief only; it does not treat the underlying cause of reflux disease.
