• Mild gastrointestinal disturbances: nausea, stomach upset, constipation, or diarrhea.
• Stool discoloration (dark/black stools) if the formulation contains iron; this is harmless.
• Mild yellowish discoloration of skin (carotenemia) with prolonged high intake of beta-carotene-containing formulations; reversible on dose reduction.
• Rarely, allergic reactions (rash, itching) to a specific vitamin or mineral component.

Pediatric use: Use of Altrum Gold in children should be limited to age-appropriate formulations specifically labeled and dosed for pediatric use; not all adult formulations are suitable for children.
