Vitamin D3 deficiency commonly develops in people with limited sunlight exposure and in those whose diet does not provide enough Vitamin D. D-Balance 40000 IU supplementation is indicated for the following:

The active form of Vitamin D3, D-Balance 40000 IU, works by binding to Vitamin D receptors (VDRs), which are distributed widely throughout body tissues. Being fat-soluble, Vitamin D3 has a relatively long half-life of approximately 50 days.
After oral intake, Vitamin D3 is absorbed in the small intestine, binds to specific alpha-globulins, and is transported to the liver, where it is converted into 25-hydroxy Vitamin D3 (Calcidiol). A second hydroxylation step then takes place in the kidneys, producing 1,25-dihydroxy Vitamin D3 (Calcitriol) — the metabolite responsible for increasing intestinal calcium absorption. Any non-metabolized Vitamin D3 is stored in fat and muscle tissue, and the vitamin is ultimately eliminated through faeces and urine.

The most serious risk of acute or chronic Vitamin D3 overdose is hypercalcaemia resulting from Vitamin D toxicity. Symptoms of overdose may include:
D-Balance 40000 IU overdose can lead to calcification of blood vessels and organs as a consequence of prolonged hypercalcaemia. Management of overdose involves immediately stopping all Vitamin D intake and ensuring adequate rehydration, under medical supervision.
