Sudor-X is a topical antiperspirant and astringent agent indicated for the management of hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating), most commonly affecting the axillae (underarms), palms, and soles.

• Established use: First-line topical therapy for mild-to-moderate primary focal hyperhidrosis of the axillae, palms, and soles.
• Adjunct use: May be used alongside other measures (e.g., lifestyle modification, iontophoresis, or other prescribed treatments) when sweating is not adequately controlled with a single approach.
• When topical therapy is insufficient: If hyperhidrosis is severe, generalized, or fails to respond adequately to Sudor-X, further medical evaluation for alternative treatments (e.g., botulinum toxin injections, oral agents, or surgical options) is advised.

Sudor-X is not intended for treatment of hyperhidrosis affecting large body surface areas without medical guidance.

Each formulation of Aluminium Chloride Hexahydrate topical solution/gel contains Aluminium Chloride Hexahydrate as the active ingredient, typically formulated in an anhydrous alcohol-based (isopropyl or ethyl alcohol) vehicle at concentrations commonly ranging from 10% to 20%, depending on the product strength intended for axillary, palmar, or plantar use.

Apply a thin, even layer using fingertips or the applicator provided, allow it to dry completely, and avoid contact with clothing or jewelry until fully dry. Wash the treated area with soap and water the following morning.

Clinically significant systemic drug interactions with Sudor-X are not well established, as the product acts locally with minimal systemic absorption when used as directed.

• Other topical products: Concurrent use of other topical irritants (e.g., benzoyl peroxide, retinoids, alpha-hydroxy acids) on the same skin area may increase the risk of local irritation and should generally be avoided or spaced apart.
• Deodorants/antiperspirants: Simultaneous use of other antiperspirant or deodorant products on the same site may increase irritation without added benefit.

The most common adverse effects of Sudor-X are local skin reactions at the application site, including:

• Burning or stinging sensation
• Itching (pruritus)
• Redness (erythema)
• Local irritation or mild dermatitis, particularly with higher concentrations or application to sensitive, broken, or recently shaved skin

These reactions are usually mild and self-limiting, often improving with temporary discontinuation or reduced frequency of use, and may respond to a mild topical corticosteroid if advised by a physician. Less commonly, more pronounced hypersensitivity reactions (rash, significant dermatitis) can occur; if these develop, discontinue use of Sudor-X and consult a physician.

Data on the use of Sudor-X during pregnancy are limited. Because systemic absorption through intact skin is expected to be minimal with topical use as directed, significant fetal exposure is considered unlikely; however, Sudor-X should be used during pregnancy only if clearly needed, and a physician should be consulted before use.

During breastfeeding, avoid applying Sudor-X directly to or near the breast/nipple area to prevent inadvertent transfer to the infant. As with pregnancy, use only if clearly needed and after consulting a physician, given the limited data available.

Sudor-X should be applied only to clean, completely dry, and intact skin, as it reacts with moisture (which can generate local irritant byproducts) and is more likely to cause irritation on wet or damaged skin.

• Avoid application to broken, irritated, inflamed, or recently shaved skin.
• Avoid contact with the eyes, mouth, and mucous membranes; rinse thoroughly with water if accidental contact occurs.
• Sudor-X solutions are typically alcohol-based and flammable; keep away from open flame or heat sources until fully dry.
• Sudor-X may damage certain fabrics, jewelry, and metal surfaces; allow the skin to dry fully before dressing.
• Not recommended for use over large areas of the body without medical supervision.
• Patients with significant renal impairment may have increased systemic aluminium exposure with extensive or prolonged use and should use Sudor-X only under medical guidance.
• If hyperhidrosis is severe, widespread, or does not improve with appropriate use of Sudor-X, seek further medical evaluation.

Overdose with topical Sudor-X is uncommon given its route of administration, but excessive or improper application may lead to severe local skin irritation, chemical burns, or dermatitis. If Sudor-X is accidentally ingested, or if signs of a severe reaction (widespread rash, blistering, breathing difficulty, or swelling) occur, seek immediate medical attention or contact a poison control center/emergency services rather than attempting home treatment.

Store at room temperature (below 30°C), away from light, heat, and open flame due to the alcohol-based vehicle. Keep the container tightly closed and out of reach of children.

Pediatric patients: Safety and efficacy of Sudor-X in children have not been well established through controlled studies; use in children should be under medical supervision and generally limited to older children/adolescents with hyperhidrosis, at the lowest effective concentration.

Elderly patients: No specific dose adjustment is established for elderly patients; skin may be more fragile, so monitor for increased irritation.

Renal impairment: Use with caution over extensive areas or for prolonged periods, as systemic aluminium accumulation is a theoretical concern in significant renal impairment.

Hepatic impairment: No specific data or dose adjustment established; systemic exposure is minimal with correct topical use.

Treatment with Sudor-X typically begins with nightly application for several consecutive nights (induction phase) until sweating is adequately controlled, followed by a maintenance phase of 1-2 applications per week, continued as needed for as long as hyperhidrosis persists. If no improvement is seen after 1-2 weeks of consistent use, consult a physician to reassess the treatment plan.
