Oral Rehydration Salt [Flavored] is indicated for the prevention and treatment of dehydration caused by fluid and electrolyte loss and more.
Oral Rehydration Salt [Flavored] is indicated for the prevention and treatment of dehydration caused by fluid and electrolyte loss, most commonly due to acute diarrhoea (including cholera-associated diarrhoea, as an adjunct to appropriate antibiotic therapy when indicated), vomiting, or excessive sweating (e.g., heat exhaustion, strenuous exercise, febrile illness).
Oral Rehydration Salt [Flavored] is not indicated as a substitute for intravenous fluid therapy in patients with severe dehydration or shock.
Oral Rehydration Salt [Flavored] must be reconstituted with the exact volume of clean, safe (boiled and cooled, if necessary) drinking water stated on the product label before use. Do not add sugar, salt, or any other substance to the prepared solution, as this can alter the osmolarity and cause harm.
