Glycerol is an osmotic dehydrating agent that possesses hygroscopic and lubricating properties. It causes plasma osmolality leading to the movement of water into the plasma from the extravascular spaces via osmosis.
Dosage & Administration of Honycol 100 ml
Adults including the elderly and children over 5 years: Two 5 ml spoonful (10 ml)Children 1 to 5 years: One 5 ml spoonful (5 ml)Children 3 month to 1 year: ½ to 1 spoonful (2.5 to 5 ml)The dose should be repeated three or four times a day as required.
